Hey Peoples.

If you have been checking in on this blog for the past 2 years you may have seen a post where i talk about going off and doing youtube video's, well I finished that, and after visiting here by mistake while trying to blog on another blog, I began reading some old comments, and got me thinking that I may wanna return to all of this madness *wink* finding like minded people in this community was much easier than finding your group in a community as vast and unpredictable as youtube. So for the last few days I have been playing with the idea of coming back to card making. I told Kelly today whilst we were in the pharmacy and she was supportive as always, and seemed to be hoping that if i were to return, maybe it would motivate her to return as well(as she has been trying to do for the last year haha) Maybe we just need to be a team again, maybe that is at the core of our lack of motivation here. As many of you may or may not remember, that my motivation died with my father in laws death, i just didn't have it in me to work through all of that and still come out creative on the other side. Kelly held on for a few more months after i did, but gave in to the lack of motion too. But now, three years later, I think it's time to try again.

So if you are one of the few people that still come back or still have me way in the back, all dusty in your google reader, and all of a sudden you got a 1 beside my blog title and you said "wtf" and are now reading this, stay tuned as the next little while will convince me whether or not i have it in me anymore to return.

Just to Freak Out....

Those of you whom are still watching, here's a card from valentines that I made for Kelly. I know I haven't posted in a long time, since the "Chicken Who Did It" came to an end actually, and I can't guarantee that I'll be posting any time soon after, but I thought that I would post this being as it's made and thought maybe someone would like to see it.....maybe *wink* As far as me doing more work, I feel as though it isn't needed by me or you the reader and I feel as though I've lost the urge to do so so I don't want to force work that isn't coming. I've moved on to other things, and gone back to some things of old. I am however very proud of the work and teams wife Kelly has been appointed too over that last six months and hope you all are as well....she works hard and deserves everything that comes her way. As far as Langley Boy Designs in the future, it all kinda depends on the next release from Gina K. Designs (if there is one) I had designed a lot of stamps prior to the first release, but as you can imagine that release didn't do so well. Discouraging. If there is another release (big if) I have the feeling as though it will probably be the end of Langley Boy Designs and most likely my work all together. I'm not saying all this to pressure you the reader to purchase product, I'm just saying that this is the way it will go, and there's not enough people who will want my work to keep it going....it's just a fact. With that being said(hopefully without sounding to whiny and pathetic *wink*) I hope you like the card, and If i don't ever write again I thank you for the trip. =]

OMG I'm Famous!

Months back We (Gina & I) sent my first two sets of stamps off to Christine of Scrap Time whom does a internet broadcast about stamping and scrapping type stuff. well low and behold we (Kelly & I) were watching the show today, and it just so happens to be me! can you believe it, it's sick. Autism

1. I have butterflies in our bedroom, real ones, right now as we speak. Seriously. I found them amongst some wood I was throwing away at work a couple of weeks ago. They are all in hibernation and I couldn't just let them die, so I brought them home and researched them. We keep them in our room because as you may have read in Kelly's tagged post, she likes to keep our room very cold, the window is open all year round no matter how cold it gets. So due to this unique climate within our house, this was the only room we could keep them in to keep them in hibernation.

2. I secretly blame Kelly as the reason we have so many Christmas tree's, when i know full well that I am to blame *wink* don't tell Kelly =]

3. I never thought I'd like diet soda, but apparently I do do.

4. I can't think of any more things about me, that's weird, since in the past i haven't had a problem thinking of stuff about me. So I'll just finish here.

If Only I had Known....

You're really making me wish it was LBD Stamps, but it isn't = ( I had no idea so many of you were waiting for LBD's next release, but I have good news for you on that matter, it's in the work, i just don't know how long it will be, Gina K is a very busy woman these days *wink*

To address some of the other guesses, that amused either Kelly or I or both *grin*

First off, Melanie with the guess of a "Chicken Who Did It" board game.....ROTF I love it! that's actually a good idea, I should run that by Gina, where should I send the royalties *wink*

Secondly, Denise who said "If it's a Wii, I'll give you $500 for it...LOL" hilarious, like anyone would give up a Wii right now *snort*

Thirdly, Cathy whom said "a gold sign that says I LOVE YOU KELLY!" we both got a kick out that, who knows maybe that's in the future, *wink*

and lastly Lisa who said "My Guess is its EMPTY!!!" thats funny because I can totally see myself doing that *grin* my public knows me *lol* =]

But the real answer, that was guessed partially or exactly by a few of you is "The Chicken Who Did It" Blaga Collection! I have decided to do a silent auction here on my blog for the entire original collection 42 cards in all. With the exception of the "Usual Suspects" card, that will be a copy that i made, as the original went to Gina K!

The money raised is going to be donated to our local Autism Organization. They helped us a lot with Megan's development and so many other children in our area and we would feel awesome to give them something to help continue their good work.

So if you would like to get your hands on the entire collection of "The Chicken Who Did It" cards and a copy of the story, you can start bidding here in the comments of this post. I will keep the bidding open until Sunday December 16th @ 9pm PST 12am EST.

Guess What's In The Box?

First off, sorry i have been absent so much lately, since i posted the finale to "The Chicken Who Did It" i have been out of town a lot for work. So i haven't been working on anything for quite a while considering all the cards I made last month were made at the beginning of the month *wink* So back to the box. I have an announcement that involves the box i am holding in the picture to my left. When I got this box I said to myself, "Self, what should we do with this box?" too which i said in turn to myself " Self, i think we should give the public a chance to guess what is in this box, before..." "Before what, i said to myself" to which I said " well Self, I'm glad you asked, we'll let them guess before we in turn make this box and it's contents available to them!" To which my other self said "WOW, that's a smokin' good deal self, I can't believe I didn't come up with that"

But that's why I am the smart one *grin*

So there you have it peeps, I'm gonna let you guess what is in the box, before I give it to you =]
I'll announce what it is later in the week, but until then....

Well here's the end =( I couldn't think of a better way to end it than to make a card that shows the house that friendship built. It was really hard writing this episode as you will read *wink* I didn't think it would be this hard to write the final chapter of a saga about a chicken cow and pig, but it was, and all I can say is i hope it means as much to you the faithful and new readers alike as it has to me. Shock and Awe

This episode of "The Chicken Who Did It" has a huge twist in the story and I call this card "Shock and Awe" for that very reason. This card was a lot of fun to make because it involved drawing, which you all know i love doing, and also includes odd shaped card body, which again you all know I love *grin* Only 2 more episodes left after this one. The 2 Part Finale this weekend will bring an end to my beloved "The Chicken Who Did It" Blaga and I', sure we'll all be sad to see it end, I know I sure am. But I got something planned for after that I think you will all like *wink wink*

It's so exciting =] This card is very simple yet very dramatic, I made this card to look like a photo of our two heroes being torn in two , by the drama that is Chuck and Pervis' life. I Was Very Busy This Weekend!

I worked hard this weekend to meet my goal of making these Six cards. The Picture is of the backs of the cards so to not give away any plot secrets, as these cards are the next six episodes of "The Chicken Who Did It" Blaga, and i gotta say i had a blast making them. It's so liberating making a goal for yourself and hitting that goal. I don't think I have ever made six cards in one weekend before, let alone Six that had plots within them, so I consider this quite the feat. So what does this mean to you the readers, well let me lay it down for you.

Staring Tomorrow November 13th and every other day thereafter the remaining chapters will be released. So the schedule will look like this....

Holiday Dome Card

A lot of people have asked how to make these "dome" cards that I make and i think eventually i'll do a tutorial, my first if i do it *wink* I was trying to make this look like a snowglobe, don't know how it came out *grin* looks like one to me. I forgot from last year how much i love using flaky friends, such a cute set. As usual all the black on this card is black embossing instead of ink, love the effect this gives, and makes coloring easier, no bleeding. The snowflakes and northpole sign are from "Match-Ups-Holiday Collection" and are a really cute touch to this card. What can I say i think it is a really cute card, a bit bigger than normal, but it had to be to facilitate the main image =]

Changed my Mind...I Do That Sometimes wink

I had said that i was going to post the remaining Chicken Who Did It Blaga cards in consecutive days, but thats before I actually sat down and wrote the ending...that's right it's done! I can tell you that there are exactly Eight Episodes left after this one, so i'll get one more random episode out to you before the final seven will be released daily until finishing with the 2 part finale episode =]. This card was pretty simple to make, but it had a simple message to get across so simple it is. I don't know if you noticed the change to the blog, simplicity again. I wanted to make a more simple banner, to get away from all the colorful banners I have had in the past, focusing more on the work within the blog rather than the banner work KWIM. Don't know if you noticed on Splitcoast but i started a thread a few episodes back where I have been trying to encourage the readers of the "Chicken Who Did It" Blaga to talk amongst each other about the story if they so feel like it. Don't know if any would feel like it it *wink* I just know that sometimes people like to get together and theorize about the outcome, so I started that thread there and you can just click HERE It would be great to see others talking about the story there, environment is more open to communication than a blogger comment box. I hope you are all still enjoying the story =]

Hallo-Dome Card wink

Have I said that I love making my Dome Cards....."I love Making Dome Cards!" they're so neat to make and they look real sharp, I just can't stop making them. Just another thing to love about the "Chicken Who Did It" Blaga, thats where I came up with the first dome card *grin* But last night I saw this Stampendous "trick or treat" stamp and said "Dome Card" out loud *lol* the hardest part of this card was finding the right DP for the backdrop and I believe I sifted through the mountains of DP that Kelly has *wink* and found the piece I needed. all of the black on this card is embossed black I hardly ever stamp in black ink anymore, the embossing looks so awesome I can't go back =] Thought you might want a straight on shot of the card to see an accurate shape-------------------------------------------------------->

I know I have been absent a lot lately but with stamp designing and working on "Chicken Who Did It" Finale Chapters I've been swamped with stuff I can't blog about so it wasn't until last night that I found the "inspiration" to create something outside of those realms *grin*. I've sat down and wrote so much of the story now that I am seven chapters ahead of where we are right now and about three or four within being done *sad* so when those three or four are done being written and all the cards are made (some are already made just out of order) then I will tell all y'all with the release of the first card in the finale series I will release a chapter every day there after until it is done! How exciting will that be reading it everyday as the story comes to a climax and a finish. Hopefully with my inactivity no one that is interested in the Blaga misses the finale series because they don't check back *wink*

What a Year It Has Been!

On October 21st 2006 I sat down and wrote my first post of this blog and who knew i would actually keep going with it a whole year! If you knew me you'd be impressed, I have the tendency to quit at this when i get bored with them. Here's to you the reader for keeping it interesting =] Now as some of you may know the first post of this blog was not the first of my cardmaking career though. I actually made similar posts of the first few cards on my blog on Kelly's blog. In the beginning I didn't make a lot of cards (kinda like now *wink*) so when i did make a card Kelly would allow me to blog it on her blog, and post it on SCS via her account. Well, with time and my growing collection it only made sense for me to have my own blog and my own account at SCS.So on that fateful third week of October last year i posted here for the first time. I never thought anyone would read, and am still surprised to this day that you all come back *grin* so thanks for the journey.

The Card that started it all, the snow bear really did it....I mean really If i hadn't made this card you'd all be doing something better right now other than reading me indulge myself *wink* but I made it, she (kelly) posted it on SCS and they (SC stampers) raved about this freak of a husband that actually stamped, and now all hell had broke loose!

One of the first cards i made that people really liked, one of the first that truly showed my sense of humor *wink* all yall should have shunned me, but instead you created a monster *lol* I really like the the idea of the snowmen showing up to early, Halloween snowmen are funny=] in the beginning I really liked working with either snowmen of varying design or SU's Lovely as a Tree, really if you go back and look they're everywhere *LOL* I really liked using stamps wrong, that was my thing back then and hopefully will come back to me in the future*wink*

The snowman line at the northpole was my first favorite card. I loved making this card, and a lot of you liked seeing it, it was my first "hard" card being that it took a lot of time, and thinking, and a whole lot of masking, but the end result is awesome....to me anyways! All that masking was time consuming =]

The card that started the whole "Chicken Who Did It" Blaga, everyone on SCS just loved the humor behind this card so much that i had to make a sequel to it, and following that card an entire story....again, who would have know! I just wanted to make a card using all the Gina K stamps we had at the time. I just didn't plan on stamping that many chickens *grin*The sequel card "when chickens go bad is where the actual plot became locked down, and was soon followed by Chucks intro as a chick....weird how some things become bigger than you anticipated!

This card was so funny, the bear screams "give me a guitar" It was so fun to make and truly showed off how i like to think outside the box. It was also one of the earlier "Dome" cards of mine, I think the first was actually within the "Chicken Who Did It" Blaga, the one where Chuck and Moonique fall in love running through the flowers. i love "Dome" cards =]

This was just funny, only way my brain would allow me to use a bella was to do this.
There's a couple of stamping fads out there that i just can't seem to work with because the images are too constraining and even though I think the Bella's are really cute and i understand why everyone loves them, I just can't use them. They don't leave a lot of room for my personality to shine through in the work, but this one did. I gotta say, it's one of my favorite works I have done in this my first year of cardmaking and blogging!

Gettin' Buggy With It!

I Made this card because i hadn't made a butterfly card in quite a while and i also noticed that i hadn't used this Baroque Motifs image yet. So I had to try something here. I like how this turned out, it's different. I love how the black matte makes it pop off the page, really sharp I like it a lot =] Also loved being able to incorporate one of my stamps from Langley Boy Designs "Gettin' Buggy With It" set available now at Gina K's Store

Also, didn't know if any of you know this but Sunday the 21st *tomorrow* is my blogs anniversary! Can you believe i have been tainting your minds and wasting your time for a whole year now *wink* Hopefully i can muster some cards out for tomorrow in commemoration for the recent year =] I hope you have enjoyed this my inaugural year as much as i have, it's been a splendor!

Autumn Harvest!

I really like how this card turned out, I think the colors really pop together and bring it all together! I really like this pumpkin set and was glad to finally be using it. Used a couple of our new copics on this card but the colors are so small you couldn't tell if you tried, but i gotta say i like them so far :0)

I really like making these dome tops on my cards, they look really cool and can't seem to get myself to stop doing them, so if you have a problem with them....tuff! *grin* I just love them to much to stop doing them!

Don't know if you can tell in the picture but that background stamp is embossed in black, and it looks real sharp in person. I am really glad Kelly drug me downstairs today to create something....anything. I just haven't been able to get out of this funk since my FIL died, and fear that my full drive may never come out again. But I'm trying.

As for those who read my continuing Blaga "The Chicken Who Did It" we have reached the part of the story at which we started the story, and the remainder of it is in the works right now. I am planning to pick a week in the near future *hopefully* and release a chapter ever day that week to end the story. I know there have been large gaps in between episodes but I want the remainder of the story to be fresh in your minds as you read each successive chapter, so i will make sure to advertise when these remaining chapters will begin! I hope those of you have stuck in there from the very beginning like how the story ends. It's been a joy.

Oh Pervis No!

Hope you have all made it over to Gina K's store to but my first two sets from her. I hope you'll love using them, and look forward to viewing the next sets....I know I will *wink*

I'm not pleased with the way this card turned out, in fact i think it all but sucks, after the image of Pervis with the band-aid on his forehead, i lost the feeling for this card and didn't really know what to do with it, but the card needed to be made, and an idea for the rest of it wasn't coming so this is what we ended up with, and I apologize for the hastiness of this card!

What Comes From a Joke!

Who knew that making a joke card like the "Usual Suspects" that it would have a domino effect that would change the way you look at everything! Don't know what i'm talking about, well follow me down this path of weird and very cool events of what i like to call, my blog life turned upside down!

Action One in our journey the "Snow Bear Card". I made this card on the first weekend of october 2006. It was an accidental creation, as i was sitting cutting out coldplay circles for Kelly. Now keep in mind that I am not a cardmaker at that time. So I'm sitting there cutting the many sized circles when i notice that I can make a bears body out of the circles and it doesn't take me long to show Kelly. So what does she say "you should make it" Why not, why shouldn't I make a card....so I do. I love it, and so did the ladies at SCS! I was hooked. That simple =D

Action Two in our journey is starting a blog of my own. For a week or two i wrote posts on my wife kelly's blog because I didn't think that i would need my own, i mean really how many cards is a guy gonna make *wink* But after a few post I broke down and started my own blog on October 21st of that year (Anniversary coming!) The blog was a minor success and i was proud to be one of a very few men that not only stamped, but blogged about it too! A few faithful ladies kept me enthusiastic about blogging with the relentless support of my "work", you ladies know who you are *wink* and I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Action Three is a big one....this card was made, the Usual Suspects card was my first really big comment card on SCS and even got a comment from the one and only Gina K! I couldn't believe that someone of her blogebrity would even come to my blog , let alone comment on it! but at this point it was only a card, and needed this card "When Chickens Go Bad" to begin the wheels turning of the Blaga we have all come to love "The Chicken Who Did It!".

Action Four....on April 6 of 2007 the "Chicken Who Did It!" officially became a reality, so to speak *wink* In the beginning of the Blaga I used many stamps to create the scenes of the story and quickly fell in love with writing the story as some people began to love reading the story. So as the story grew beyond the stamps that we or anyone had I began to draw to custom make my own stamps for the story. and on April 26th the first stamps was unveiled within the story, "Buck the Horse" was the first set that I Made. At he same time the first run of "Put your Big Girl Panties" and "The Outhouse" Set were created. The story made me create a lot of stamps and little did I know that people would actually want them!

Action Five....Langley Boy Designs is born and sale of my stamps in photopolymer begins. Only a very few sets were actually sold, before an extremely weird occurrence occurred. About a week or so into selling stamps I began to realize i wasn't made for selling and shipping, (sorry to those who this applies to *wink*) and was going to throw in the towel...really I was this close. So on May 25th I told Kelly the idea of talking to Gina K. and she thought it was a interesting idea. Now this is where it gets weird. The next day I was sitting at my computer getting ready to write and email to Gina K. and I was thinking how do even ask a person like her if she would like to sell my stamps... I mean really does anyone even like my stamps enough to buy them from a store. Should I really ask her, is she gonna laugh in my face, is she gonna tell me the cold hard truth that she doesn't think anyone would want to buy my drawings....and that's when it happened. I got an email, and it was from Gina K! and what really blew me away was she wanted to sell my stamps! I mean really is this happening, did I just get beat to the punch by Gina herself? So I said "Self, this is @%$#ed up" (pardon my implication there-can't help what i was thinking at the time) and that's when i sent the email that became "Langley Boy Designs" available at Gina K. Designs! It was so weird that I can't even begin to convey to you how it felt, and I don't even think Gina K. herself knows this story.

Action Six- I begin drawing, and drawing and drawing. I drew so many stamps, and some of them rambled off into huge collections, and I was like "Self, do you think Gina will like any of these stamp designs?" and then I said "well Self I think out of all of these stamps she'll like enough of them to make a first release" little did i know that she would like most of everything I had put to paper! I was so excited that she liked my work, i mean come on she's Gina K. We actually had a hard time trying to pick out the first release stamps, their were so many that we each wanted to release, for various reasons, and they all made sense! But eventually we decided on "Getting Buggy With It" and the New "Thanks for Your Support"

Action Seven-the release.
It took so long from the first email to the final release and the whole time I thought I would explode holding onto such a huge secret, as many of you may remember some ramblings from me in the beginning. At this point I don't know how many sets sold or if anyone really cares, but i don't care. i believe that people will love my stamps in the future and i know they'll survive, cute and funny never go away for long and I love the stamps to come! Some of them are so cute it's sick!

So with that all said i hope all y'all have enjoyed the journey so far and hope you will continue it with me until this either fizzles out or become something we'll all look back and say I remember when Langley Boy designs was three stamp sets and being sol off a blog!

We took the old panties set and i redrew it to be a bit more cute, and more in my style of drawing and i think it turned out really cute. the Something New to this release is the set "Getting Buggy With It" I thought that this set was so cute once we got going on the drawing. Started with the bumble bee and it just snowballed from there. Lots of saying to go with these cute critters and i think that this set is very versatile.

Along with this huge news I made this card Using yet another couple of stamps from the "Getting Buggy With It" set. The bee was the first design in this set and got me hooked on drawing bugs, for this set and some others to follow. And love that saying "Congratulations on your pollination" funny way of saying pregnancy you think? I love the colors in this card, they really pop! I love this set it's so cute. can't wait for the launch tonight. This card is so cute, love the ants. i created the ants in this set especially for the next story that i am working on after the "Chicken Who Did It" blaga is over *wink*. The sentiments in this set are so cute, and very very versatile, there's something in there for every occasion.

New Re-Launch Sneak Peak!

Hey everyone, this is my first ever sneak peak post at a set I am releasing at the Langley Boy Designs Re-Launching Extravaganza tomorrow night. I love this set and think you will too, it is so cute and the sayings are very versatile. I think that this card is so cute, because it portrays the little tiny bug as bigger than life because of the sky background.

I'm going to explode, been waiting for these stamps to be released for so long now and all the little problems we've had getting them perfect are now over and the day is all but upon us, i can't wait until tomorrow night, I hope you can't either =D

The clouds are from SU's Farmyard Wheel, we bought that wheel specifically to cut it up into individual stamps *wink* you know how i'm weird like that *grin* I just think is neat to have cloud stamps when ever you need 'em, KWIM.

The Gigantic Langley Boy Designs Re-Launching Extraviganza!

I know I know, bad blogger, but i have an excuse, been really busy with the upcoming re-release of Langley Boy Designs "something old Something new" re-release extravaganza this coming Sunday Evening, well Monday morning depending on where you are. Now I know that another company is also having a release that day, so I won't be hurt if you go to said other companies release instead of mine, don't worry it won't hurt my feelings *wink*

So with that being said, I invite you to come to my blog or to the Facebook Group if you are a member, to view the Re-release sets and have a little get together and chat amongst eachother...there more than here, but you could try here it would just be a little weird having a chat in a blog comments box *grin*, but i am more than willing to let you try. I Made This card as a part of my "Chicken Who Did It" series and now these guys have shown up on the "At Night Show" with "Jay Reno" *wink*. Just so we don't get confused or think i'm a better drawer than i am, i didn't draw Jay Leno, I traced a sketch of him by another artist somewhere that I know nothing about. So I'm not trying to take credit for this drawing, just thought it was perfect for this card *grin* . Don't Gina K's farmyard friends look like they belong on the Tonight Show!

I saw this on Dawns blog and jumped at it, because we all know i Love talking about myself. There may be some interesting hint, maybe amongst this garbled mess, or maybe I'm just saying that to make sure you read it....guess you'll never know unless you read *grin*

Four place I have worked.
1. The Langley Times Newspaper, where i met my future wife Kelly working the graveyard shift putting the newspaper together. worked there for three years before we moved to Enderby!
2. Lion's Gate Fisheries, i worked there for like eight months while at the same time working at the previous job, this job however made me miss Kelly and made me realize how important she was to me and in part was the building blocks to our relationship.I was never so happy when i got laid off for missing a month of work due to an infected hand injury :0)
3. Huber Furniture- the job I took after moving to enderby in 2001, i didn't know anything about woodworking or furniture, but we needed the money. I worked there for three years before i was wrongfully fired :0(
4. Custom Window & Door- is where i work now making doors and windows. I like it here somewhat, but things are looking like huge changes are coming in our lives soon, and we're awaiting confirmations from other areas of our lives!

I Made this card months ago for my SCS Secret Sister Tara from Tara's Paper Crafts and put off posting it until the reveal as to not give away who i was, but when the time came and i was able to post it my FIL passed away and i forgot all about it. I was trying something different at the time and was pleased with the outcome, as you can see by more recent work i have been going in a different direction, but i like this card from the past *wink*. Been Awhile But the Chicken Is BAck!

Holy, been awhile huh? I've been a very bad blogger these days, just can't seem to get inspired at all, but today i bring you this card as a part of the dramatic finishing chapters, can't say how many are left, but this is where everything comes to fruition so to speak, the big full circle as they say, whoever "they" are. Gina K's farmyard friends are as usual the stars of this card, along with SU's headline alphabet, and my own Langley Boy Designs "I Am Floored" stamp. As for my Stamp designs I'm getting read to launch more stamps available to you the reader, I'm just working on a separate site for it so be patient I'll be releasing them as soon as everything is ready *grin*

I've CASE'd Someone!

That's right I stole this idea from today's featured stamper Cammie over on SCS. I know it's not my normal thing to go out and do others work, but that's the whole idea behind the featured stamper, and thought that this card fit in well with what I normally do anyway, so here it is. My first real attemp at using My Favorite Things stamps, and I think it went better than i initially thought it would. I like the fall theme I decided to go with, it's cute, and fall does seem to be coming earlier this year, here anyway.

South Dakota Anyone?

This episode of "The Chicken Who Did It!" comes to from South Dakota, home of Mt. Rushmore, a national monument and amazing feet for carvers of their time. The Chicken and his pals must have really enjoyed their trip their because that's all they talk about now...hehehe.

I don't love how this card turned out, but it does it job. Some of the coloring isn't up to par, and i added that tree that wasn't there and it's not lovely, but, it's been a long two weeks and it's all I got.

I've Been Missing

I know in the past two weeks i have been quite absent from my blogging, and if you read kelly's Blog you know why. My FIL died in our house and it has really affected my ability to think about crafting. On one hand I know life goes on and with things to come *wink* I should keep working on new things, but it's hard.

I also know that i want to get the next edition of "The Chicken Who Did It" series out because the "Chicken" is coming to an end in the not to distant future as some of you may be determining for yourselves while reading the last couple episodes. I don't know for sure how many episodes are left but I know it's atleast half a dozen, and I'm sure you'll get a real good kick out of the ending, but at the same time I am sad it's coming to an end.

I am excited for the end of "The Chicken" series for one reason and that is that I'll be starting work on a second story, this one a bit more thought out, and far more epic! I love story telling and this venue makes it so easy to do, and knowing that even one other person likes them is all the more reason to do it. I am so excited about this story as I hope to make it into a children's book when it is done, and secondly because I'm designing a stamp collection to illustrate the story! That's gonna be so fun, combining three of my great loves writing, stamping, and drawing...now if I could only find a way to include my aquarium fish i'd be gold *grin*. I hope you'll all look forward with me to this plan coming to fruition and hopefully this story will be as enjoyable as "The Chicken Who Did It!"

And finally, ( sorry to ramble, but you know me) I was wanting to know if you all would be interested in an auction of sorts? I was thinking about auctioning off the entire "chicken who did it!" collection of cards and donating the proceeds to charity? What do you think? I wouldn't care how much it went for, but would love to give it to someone whom I know would love to have it, and at the same time give back to a worthy cause. Don't be shy, let me know how you feel or any ideas you may have.

Pizza! I Love Pizza

Anyone that knows me knows that i love Pizza, I use to eat a Little Caesar's "Giant" pizza in a sitting...easy! They used to ask me if I was going to eat this all by myself, and I'd laugh and say it would be half gone by the time I got home (5 min drive) and I wasn't kidding. What Elephant?

This card has been in my mind ever since I designed this Elephant stamp! It made me laugh and even though of making a stamp to go along with it that said "what elephant?" but then again how many times could people make that card? KWIM. So this was my first time using stamps from MFT. I used the tree from the Falling for You set. Adding that too Basic Grey DP and my own crazy dome tops and I think it makes for a pretty cool card if I do say so myself *wink* the part I love most about this stamp which is a part of a set I designed called "Fat Bottom Friends" which has three "friends" in the set a hippo,the elephant , and a brontosaurus. Now the cool thing about them is that they all share the same body and you place their heads anywhere on the body that you want! I love it! If you go back and look at The Breakout! Card you can see that the Elephants head is clearly in a different position and thus making it a more diverse stamp, IMHO anyway. Just like Buck The Horse the head can be where you want the head to be.

I'm glad you all liked my Jason Needs post, I had a lot of fun finding all those lines, and even more fun writing my thoughts on them *grin*, I love that y'all get my sense of humor it makes it fun to write. I hope all my Loyal Readers have cataloged the answer a couple of posts down because the time where I delete it forever is coming soon so don't forget to write it down if you don't have a good memory like me!

A lot of bloggers have been doing this for a while now and here's my attemps at it. You type your name plus "needs" into Google or any other search engine and see what comes up, here's some of mine...lol.

Jason needs to diet because he has become too fat. (geez gets right to the point doesn't it....*grin*)
Jason needs to put on his shirt, overalls, shoes and socks (Idon't know about overalls, but i do get dressed every day...I promise!)
Jason Needs a Helmet (this point has been argued for years...it's prolly true)
Jason needs to eat according to a controlled carbohydrate meal plan (again, i know I'm a bit over weight but come on!)

Back In The US of A!

As you can see our heroes are back in the USA, Hawaii that is. I love how this card turned out, it is uber-bright and i love bright. Obviously i used Gina K's farmyard friends, along with my Langley Boy Designs palm trees and SU's Do the Hula and farmyard wheel (for the clouds...again...heehe)As stated in a previous post I have started embossing the stamped images to make coloring more easy(no bleeding) and I still gotta say it makes for a nice clean look. I mean look at the surf board, ordinarily, with me anyway, the red marker would bleed into the yellow and make it look crumby, but there it stands clear as day. I love it. I also like how the cuttle bug embossing turned out, don't know if you noticed it but only the center of the real red is embossed and i think it looks cool. I just made the card stock 3/4 of an inch to big on both dimensions and voila centered embossing. And in case you are wondering the sand on the beach is sandpaper!

By My Wife that is, as a Rockin' Girl...er Boy Blogger! I am so appreciative of her for nominating me even though i told her not to , but anywho I have to nominate some bloggers and so I shall.

1. I know she already has been nominated, and she nominated me, but i would like to re-nominate my wife Kelly again, she really doesn't fully appreciate how good she is at card making. I know it's good to be humble, but come on the gurls' got skillz! and that's not just me being all husbandy about neither, it's the real deal, i'm not one for blowing smoke up ones butt just for the sake of talkin'. Love her work.

2. again I know she's been nominated, but then again almost everyone I admire is admired by many so, my whole list may already be nominated *grin* so this already nominated girl is none other than lovely, and talented and extremely nice Gina K. of Gina K Designs I love how cute all her cards are, but mostly appreciate her lovely stamps which all of my readers would know I use all the time...*wink*.

3. Thirdly I nominate Allison of Stampin' When I Can I love her blog for all the information and community she brings to the blogging world, i don't think if it wasn't for her many of our blogs would get off the ground. She has made herself a major hub in the world, and i know not many people could dedicate the time it must take to keep herself on entire world of bloggers.

4.Fourthly I nominate a new blog to me, but I'm sure not to a lot of you is Scrapperlicious her work is insane! absolutely insane. She has a gift for scrapbooking that i could only merely dream of and i mean that in the literal sense, i could literally never do the work she does. If you haven't seen her work , you have to check it out!

5. and finally i nominate Jenn Balcer a very talented card maker who's work i just love. She is such a vibrant card maker and i always love that in a cardmaker. Her blog is a good mixture of family and cards and has a nice comfortable feel to it. I appreciate her work and she seems to be a really nice person too!

A Couple Of Questions Answered!

A. I used to draw a lot when I was a little kid and when i believed that my drawing was becoming bad for my age I stopped drawing and replaced it with writing. I wrote anything and everything through high school until I was 19, then when I finished my first full length movie script I stopped! figure that out. I lost the ambition to write anything for quite a few years, then i started writing the "Chicken Who Did It" series and got bitten by the writing bug again. I know it isn't fine literature, but I'm gonna start something a little more in depth soon for my blog. As far as crafting though, this is a new thing to me. As stated before in my 100 Things About Me Post I made my first card by seeing the makings of a bear in the circles of SU's Coldplay set, and the rest is history.

A. Oddly enough, so far anyway, all the men I know and have told are pretty supportive of it. I thought and still think every time I tell a man that I stamp that they are going to laugh and give me that "I thought you were a man" look! lol. But so far I have even had a couple of them offer to partner with me and fund my own stamp company...isn't that odd, but for now i had to decline their offers!I would imagine though that there will be a time when I meet less enlightened men and that they will disapprove and at that time I'll have to get all manly and kick their behinds....lol just kidding!

I know I promised this card while I was on vacation and planned to do it on Friday before we left for home, but last minute visiting got it the way and low and behold we are now home. So I have devised a "so-called" punishment for me and retribution for you and that plan is this, I will answer any and Every question you gals got for me on until the end of July, so dig down deep and think of everything you ever thought of asking me and I'll answer it!

So as far as the card goes I thought it would be neat to try and make this card not knowing if I would like it in the end, and I gotta say...I don't hate it. I'm not in love with it, but it's bright and i love bright. I Also discovered while making this card that embossing the image in black makes the coloring process a heck of a lot easier. I used SU markers on the image and the embossing stops any bleeding that may occur. Not that bleeding occurs all that often, but this gives the peace of mind that i want when coloring in an image. So For the near future i may be doing that quite a bit.

The back piece is Basic Grey but I can't remember what the red sheet is being so far from home where the remainder of it is *wink*. As far as our vacation goes, we're having a pretty good time here in Hay River. The Great Slave Lake is HUGE! It's so big my MIL says it takes 45 minutes to fly to Yellowknife on the other side, and my BIL says it'd take 5 hours to drive around to Yellowknife, that's a huge lake. I mean we're from the Okanagan where there are big lakes and a lot of them, but nothing even close to this big. Supposedly we're going fishin' at some point, I'm not big on fishin' but I'm also not against it, so it should be kinda neat to see their weirdo fish up here * grin*. Well hope you're all enjoying your summers, I know I am!

Hello From the 60th Parallel

We arrived last night (Sunday) in the town of Hay River North West Territories. Our family made it through the longest drive of any of our lives, and we all still love each other *wink* The kids were actually really good and so were the dogs, amazing! We had to change our plans a little because the hotel we booked in Grande Prairie Alberta wouldn't take cash, can you believe that? So after driving for 12 hours and 1000 km (621 miles) we were told we had to go to another hotel on the other side of town. Now let me tell you, not to offend any readers who may live there, but Grande Prairie Alberta may have the worst roads in the world. For such a big city the roads were in deplorable conditions and we couldn't handle it, so I suggested we just leave and continue driving. To my surprise Kelly agreed and we planned on driving as far a Peace River Alberta 198 km (123 miles) away. So on day one we arrived in Peace River after 15 hours in the car! The Hotel we stayed in was really nice, from the outside it didn't look like much but it was really nice!

On day two we drove 608 km (377 miles) To Hay River Northwest Territories, our final destination! We were so happy and everyone was excited to see each other. Along our journey we saw a lot of deer, a silver fox, some caribou, beavers and the lodges, mountain goats twice, little herds with babies so cute, and unfortunately we saw a 2-3 year old black bear get hit by a car, right in front of us on the other side of the highway, it was horrible. But for the most part we had a lot of fun on the trip and couldn't believe how well all involved faired on such a long trip, especially day one at 15 hours!

So all being said our trip was long, it would be the same as driving from Seattle Washington to Las Vegas Nevada! and we have to do it again to get home! Can't wait *grin*. We actually plan on making more stops along the way back to take more pictures, a lot of neat stuff in that journey! Just Checkin' In!

Well i don't know if you know, if you frequent my Wife's blog you probably do, but we are going on a trip starting tomorrow morning 5am! Why 5am you might ask because we are driving from Enderby BC to Kelly's sisters house in Hayriver Northwest territories! Yeah, I know, how weird is that *wink* 20 hours Driving time! yeah you heard me 20 hours. we're driving 12 hours tomorrow and eight on Sunday. We'll be staying there for five days and doing that trip all over again next Saturday! Yikes! But don't you fret, I'm not writing this post to tell you I won't be posting this week, I'm writing to Guarantee you An Episode of the "Chicken Who Did It" at least one other card, and hopefully some really cool pics of our trip and crazy adventures we get into in Hayriver! That's my minimum blogging Guarantee to you my viewers! Vacations don't get in the way of this blogger, my viewers are just to important to me. As a matter a fact I was just saying to my self "self... you have the best readers in all of blogland and you should make sure you keep your readers happy while on vacation" to which I said to myself " self, you're righter than any right person could be righter" So here I am telling you that I may be off the "grid" for many the hour, but I will not forget to check in here and there .

I Got My PC Back!

Some may have noticed that i haven't been posting lately and the reason being is that my PC has been in the shop getting it's USB motherboard replaced, so i have been without a portal to the Internet. Now Kelly has her own PC, but we never find the time for 50/50 sharing so i just posted stuff when i got the chance. So without further ado i will post right now...*wink*

I Made this card because I made Kelly buy me the set Tree for all seasons and now needed to create something with it before she killed me *grin* for making her buy something she wasn't going to buy. The center cube spins to each respective season, I thought it the only way to show the coolness of the set on one card! The clouds are from SU farmyard wheel, as i have stated before i cut that wheel up into a bunch of seperate pieces to make a bunch of stamps. I used Basic Grey paper for the bottom, which again, Kelly is loving how much I am using her DP lately*insert devilish smile here*

Also I Have been tagged! again and asked to tell you all more things about me that i didn't mention in my 100 things about me post! So Monika/Buzsy (person whom tagged me) here goes...

So seven more things about me...hmm let me think

1.I sleepwalk, not a lot, but enough to be really annoying to Kelly, and sometimes funny, I get weird ideas in my head while I am sleeping!

2.I like woodworking since moving to Enderby and starting furniture making as a job, but I can't finish a project to save my life...lol. So now I don't even try unless I can get it done before Kelly knows about it *wink*

3. Secrets drive me nuts! i can't keep a secret to save my life and it's killing me to keep the one I am!

4. I'm a nerd. I know i can admit it now, I didn't know i was a nerd till Kelly told me, but it all made sense once it was out. I embrace my nerdiness.

5. I have had the phrase "I am sitting adjacent to Jason, I don't know, but i think I can take him!" stuck in my head for ten years now! A guy I sat near, well adjacent actually *snort* used to sing this tune for kicks, don't know why but it didn't bother me. But having it stuck in mh=y head for ten years is a bit odd.

6. I didn't graduate, I went back and got my GED two years after dropping out of school due to boredom. I graduated three months behind my peers.

7. I am right at the perfect age to be completely exasperated that someone finally made "Transformers" into a movie. When I first heard the news I thought, hey that's cool. But when i saw the first Trailer for it, i damn near threw up with excitement! Really I almost did. But Kelly doesn't know how badly I want to see it, because she wouldn't "get it" So a waitin' I am so far.

Well, I can't believe I thought of another 7 things about me Blows my mind really, how much stuff there is about a person, and this is only scratchin' the surface!

Europe Or Bust!

I Made this card as a part of the "Chicken Who Did It!" series and absolutely love this layout it really funky but I think it really pops! I love the colors and all the details. of course I used Gina K's animals again, but added one of her scallop stamps embossed in yellow. All the letters are embossed in their respective colors and I Love the way SU weathered BG makes the center shape look old like Europe is old. I Just love this card and it's a good card for Europe , a lot of ground to cover in Europe and to many card ideas so I generalized *wink* to get it all into one card. As for the story I really like where it is going in the next few episodes and beyond that even, I hope you will too.

Pepsi™ Made Me Do It!

I Made This card using the colors from a Diet Pepsi™ can. I usually drink Diet Coke™ but the store was out of it and we got Pepsi™. I like Pepsi™ usually except for diet. I like the color combination with this card, well to me anyway *wink*. I'm starting to like using SU weathered BG, it looks neat and isn't super obvious. And Kelly is loving how much I'm using her basic Grey paper lately....not! *grin*. But she didn't mind helping me tie the ribbon, I suck at it and she makes it look so easy, thanks Kelly!.

A Phoebe Kate Card

Well it's been almost two weeks since we got Phoebe Kate and thought since it's been relatively good i would make a card to commemorate our newest addition. We had just picked up this stamp at Wal-Mart this week, I saw it and immediately thought of Phoebe. The image looks so much like her, well like her if she were a cartoon that is *wink*. Being that she is a girl I went with pretty in pink for my card stock selection even though I don't love working with pinks as I can't photograph them well enough to get an accurate portrayal of their colors. I used re-inkers to color the center image , and hand drew the grass and flowers. The ribbon is cute because that is all Phoebe does is play all day. I Used non SU brown under the WW with a stenciled "Phoebe Kate" . Using Gina K's scallop stamps again, I really like using them, Kelly is good at doing this kinda design herself, but these stamps are prefect for me. and tossed in the Cuttle Bug embossing for that added ooh la la *grin*.

And as far as my BIG news I can't say much, but I am ready to explode over it. My whole outlook of this craft as been permanently altered because of this and I have been sitting on this for quite a while...well quite a while for me that is...I can't keep anything to myself for long...lol. Wish I could say more, but I gotta go and work on something..........click! (dial tone here)

Oh Sunny Day!

I actually posted this card on SCS a day or so ago, didn't have time to come and blog so here it is. I thought it would be really neat to use Creative Memories cutting system to make a cloud and then the ideas went from there. I thought a cloud can't just sit there by itself so I made the bright sun and set it behind there and matted it on bashful blue. And as usual lately I decided to cut out half of the image to make the card look really neat, IMHO anyway *wink*. I used the cuttle bug folder to add dimension to the cloud and think it turned out really well. Lot of work being done by yours truly on other things crafting related that I can't really talk about right now but it's BIG.....now I'll just leave ya hangin'. *grin*

Odd Cutout, Cute Image

I Made This card to try and use our cutting system to cut my matte layers into odd shapes and I think I succeeded...lol. I Think it creates an unique look to go with this simple yet cute stamp from Stampendous! I Used SU's markers to color the image and two types of DP from Basic Grey, matted on SU's Positively Pink *smirk* But anyway I think I really like how it turned out. I have been having a lot of fun with stamping lately, I was in a pretty big slump for about two months there and it was driving mer crazy and now I am back to pumping out the cards again and being happy with the outcome! I can't wait to make my next card, hooray the slump is over! TFL.

I was looking at one of Kelly's images of bellas she got from Tracy and found the jammiebella image and though with my twisted head *grin* what if I reversed their relationship and created REVERSABELLA! a crazy bella where the teddy bear is the higher power...lol. Love the Layout!

I Made This card because I came up with the layout and was determined to get it done! I used so many fun products on this card I just love how it turned out! I used the cuttle bug embossing folder on the Bashful Blue paper, on top of the night of navy. The Dp is form Basic Grey and topped it off with Gina K.'s Pelican within one of her scallop stamps. I have really been taken by watercoloring with re-inkers though, they give such a vibrant color I don't know why it has taken so long for me to take this on. If you are wondering, the clouds are from SU's farmyard roller, i bought that roller to dismantle it and use it as seperate stamps instead of a roller. I relly like how this card turned out and I love the layout, i achieved the layout with Creative Memories cutting system to cut the round parts of the center piece and our regular cutting system to cut the straight parts, but I guess I could've used the CM system for that too...lol.

Todays edition of "The Chicken Who Did It!" does not have a card but thought I should make and entry so you all will know it's new, so enjoy this joiner episode. I really hope you are all enjoying this story and I might as well tell you now, but when it is over I have already started planning another story, that hopefully *cross fingers* I may want to make into a story book! Wouldn't that be cool, i love the next story and we're not even done this story and I am sickly in love with where this story is going as well! I've already planned out the ending and I love it, but we are still a ways away from the end so don't fret, there will be a lot more "Chicken" in this bucket...lol! Phoebe Paper Phoebe Puppy!

I Made This with Phoebe paper from Basic Grey but this is more about our new puppy Phoebe Kate who is due to arrive tomorrow evening and we are all excited to hear that!. As for the card i have been having fun with these Stampendous! Pail Toppers on cards though,m a lot of fun. I like using the chipboard letters from Queen & Co. "Kissy Fit". For the first time I tried watercoloring with re-inkers and think I'll be switchin' over to that from now on. I really like making the bubble out of my cards, someone asked last time I did it how i do it, and it's pretty simple I freehand cute the round part and use our cutting system for the straight away. not to hard but I like the effect it gives, thanks for looking and stay tuned for more "NEWS".

I Made This card as part of "The Chicken Who Did It!" series, this is a hilarious card as it is obviously our crew in disguise! lol!

For this card I obviously Used Gina K's awesome pig and chicken stamps and adde some costume to them, and the cow is my Langley Boy Designs horse stamp modified to look like a cow wearing a horse costume!

Been Awhile For Creativity To Show

Been awhile since I have been able to sit and create anything other than a "Chicken Who Did It" card, and this is what i came up with. I tried to use a lot of things I don't use often, like the DP which I have been trying to learn to use more often. I threw in some brads there at the bottom which is another item I seldom use. I like cutting my cards into this shape, I don't know why, it's just a me thing * grin* . I made this all to use that stamp though, it's so cute, don't yo think? I love ladybugs . I stamped that image twice once on Very Vanilla and once on Green and cut out the top and bottom of the circle to make it two colors, the green layer is also raised off the page with dimensionals. I also sponged the edges of the image in garden green on the green and close to cocoa, on the VV. Hope you like it!

I got a card from my Big Sis from SCS yesterday! I love this card, it's very manly. I like the colors as I'm sure she made it this color because blue is my favorite color. I also got a little gift that I love as well CK OK Archival Metal Charms which are so cute, don't know if you can tell from the picture, but they are cute. I love getting stuff in the mail don't you. *grin* can't wait to hear from her again and hope my secret sister likes the cards I sent her.

Today is Kelly and my Anniversary and for this occasion I made this card for Kelly. Kelly means the world to me as many of you know and my life would be nothing without her. I wish I could show her just how much she means to me, but alas I think this impossible to accomplish because anything of that magnitude is hard to express. I made this card like I did because She loves pink and brown combo's in cards and I really never use that combo. Also she loves Bravo Burgundy so I used that for the sentiments. This picture didn't really capture the color very well, sorry. Using Dp "Perhaps" was a little out of my comfort zone, especially tearing, never done that before either.

Kelly knows I love her so much, but I find it hard to show it as often as I should. We spend a lot of time together and are rarely apart so remembering to do things that show her my love is something i need to get better at, hopefully the next year will bring more from me.

100 Things About Me!

This was hard to come up with, but, I thought with what little you all know about me i'd tell you a whole bunch about me!

So here goes....

1. I started cardmaking by mistake...lol i know. I was cutting out coldplay parts for my wife Kelly and came up with the snowbear card and she posted it on SCS and the rest is history!
2.Drawing is hard for me...no really I have to try a dozen times to draw anything right, the evolution of every drawing I have done is monumental...lol. Sure I can draw but it aint easy!
3.I love hotdogs, I mean really love hotdogs especially the "Whistledog" at A&w, OMG I could die just thinking about...in fact I think I'll go and get one right now...
4....okay I'm back, man was that a good Whistledog, I love rootbeer too! also A&W...*grin*
5. I really enjoy playing floor hockey but don't get to play as much anymore due to knee probs. :(
6. My knee problems came on suddenly and are chronic and my doctor doesn't have any clue as to why they hurt so bad.
7. My doctor retired in May!

8. Dawn Mercedes was the first real fan of my blog other than my wife that is...*smirk* and I really appreciate her dedication to making my beginning more fun.
9. I keep a lot of fish.we have like 8 aquariums two of them big!
10. I went to Catholic school for all but 1 year of school, grade 9 I went to a public school to try out the other side...didn't really "get it"...lol
11. I act overly weird when I am bored, especially with people...lol don't worry they never know and are to confused to even think it.
12. I also act overly weird when I am nervous.
13. there is no way to know the difference...lmbo!
14. i detest jam! my aunt use to put it on everything and now I can't stand it!
15. My legs are way to short for my body...If you ever meet me get me to sit on the ground with my legs straight out...it's amusing to say the least...thanks Kelly for pointing that out.
16. i was attacked by a rooster at 18 months old, had a lot of trauma to my face, but vividly remember my uncle Don cutting off that roosters head.
17.I met the woman of my dreams on a graveyard shift at our local newspaper's processing plant. We worked together for three years. We've know each other for ten years now.
18. I think laser tag is fun and the best cardio workout I have ever had, and I played a lot of sports in school.
19. I used to think I liked dogs, now I know I'm only okay with them.
20. I secretly really enjoy the "Thriller" dance, not doing it, just watching it, I even got a kick out watching Jennifer Garner and the cast of !3 going on 30 do it in that movie.
21. I have a huge temper, but never lose it.
22. I was born in Vancouver but hardly ever go there!
23. When I was 11 I fell out of a 30' tree and only cut minor cuts and scratches from all the branches on the way down.Earlier that year my friend Pat fell out of the tree next to that one and a branch stuck into his lower back...he laughed. it was weird!
24.When I was young i used to have a reoccurring nightmare about a caveman ripping off the roof of my house...too this day the only dream that scared me.
25. I love having nightmares!
26. Inner Space with Dennis Quaid, Martin Short and Meg Ryan was the first movie I was aloud to pick at the video store. I think it is funny to this day.
27. The blue kid in "Snow Day" was the first time Kelly ever heard me laugh uncontrollably! she thought i was kidding...I almost peed myself.
28.my Favorite color is Blue.
29. I love Panago's Chicken Club Pizza with the Jalapeno White sauce...OMG...I think I'm gonna go and get....
30....that was good pizza, and the dipping sauce is good too!
31. Oddly "The Chicken Who Did It" is one of the most exciting things I have ever written about to me...every episode makes me so happy and I can't explain it.
32.I love making chocolate chip cookies almost as much as i like eating them.
33. I have a nervous disorder that makes me twitch from time to time, mostly when I am tired or stressed.
34. Allison is my second most encouraging reader, she brings a lot of you to my blog or at least has in the past...*wink*
35. I am Master of things Poo in my house...don't ask.
36. I haven't had a professional haircut in 15 years! I have had hair down to my shoulders and everywhere in between and I have always cut my own hair...I don't know why.
37. Before Kelly I had never eaten Chicken Breast, cream cheese, or soft taco's and now I eat them all all the time.
38. one time I slid uncontrollably across our kitchen floor naked trying to get to the towels that were folded in the living room, before my Inlaws showed up...rotflmbo! I ended up smashing shins first into the door jamb of the living room and bruising my butt in the fall. You can stop laughing now Kelly!
39.I like earl grey tea.
40. I sold a movie script i wrote ten years ago on Ebay for $250 USD just to do "something" with it, I hope the guy that bought it gets it made, that would be so cool!
41. I use to write poetry in high school, but they were bad...but I guess that's a lot of highschoolers poetry...lol
42. I ws upset when Hawk had to leave "So You think You Can Dance" Season 2 because he didn't have a work visa. I hope he does better in season 3, work Visa in hand....GO HAWK!
43. at work I am the only person who actually likes doing the same thing over and over, because i can think of stamping and story lines etc etc etc...lol. what a geek!
44. 44 is my favorite number.
45. Kelly told me before i was 25 that once you hit 25 it's all down hill, and on my 25th birthday i lost a bunch of hair in the shower and found a long hair in my ear...gross what was happening to me. i t turned out to be a bad day but i still have my hair...lol.
46. People have always said I would make a hilarious comedian, for the reason why i am not see
47. i am terrified of public speaking! I almost froze on our wedding day, when listening to the pastor I actually said "what?"...lol kelly wasn't thrilled.
48. I talk a lot when I am comfortable and uncomfortable, weird huh?
49. I had kelly convinced for weeks that my eyes were showing up weird when we first got our digital camera, but really i
would wait until she was going to take a picture and "bug out" my eyes. it was so funny the day she figured it out....lmbo!
50.I fell of a slide at three and cracked my head, occasionally I have dreams about it to this day, not many though, and when i do i think it's weird.
51. I like trees, a lot and don't know why, i always want to take trees with me where ever I see a nice looking tree be it at Wal-Mart or in the woods outside Revelstoke BC....lol
52. I am right handed but can bat both ways

54. I like rollerblading, but don't get to do it much since we moved here, roads aren't good enough in Enderby.

61. I found out I had a different father than I thought on my wedding day at the age of 27...my dad lives in greece. Being Greek is weird enough at 27!

63. This one time, my brother was going to blow up a lighter, he lit it, propped the switch down to keep the flame going and then smashed it. Now that wasn't what was funny...in hindsight that is. But when he smashed the lighter the wheel from inside flew out and managed to make it way through a crowd of people and into MY ear! needless to say a flaming hot metal wheel searing into your head caused a lot of pain and I instantly hit the floor and did the funky chicken trying to get it out. Nobody knew what was going on...it became quite a funny story over the years. kelly almost peed her pants when i first told her.
64. I can always see the funny in things that happen to me, unlike some people...lol.
65. I have the tendency to nodd off when it gets late while watching movies if they are boring and Kelly likes to take these moments to scare the crap out of my by yelling my name suddenly...lol I jump out of my skin every time.
66. The only place I have every really gone was New York State last year three times over the course of 2 months on business. We went into the city one day and I wasn't impressed by the city that much, thought it would be bigger!

95. I once ate 25 Cheeseburgers and a large pizza at McDonald's in one sitting just to freak out the staff. It was a ways back, remember when McDonald's had Pizza...good times.
96. I get over interested in just about everything I learn about. If I learn anything about birds, then I have to learn everything about birds, etc etc.
97. "Every dog has it's day" makes me sad because of a program we saw on tv where an old man died after beating his chess champion friend in a game of mail chess.

I made This card for the "Chicken Who Did It" series and I know it is really simple but sometimes for a moment this big in the story simplicity is best. Things take a drastic turn in the saga that is the chicken and who knows what will become of our stars...

As can be clearly seen Gina K Designs chicken is front and center in this card set on basic black paper and "fallen" was with the use of Karen Fosters Snap Stamps.

I got this card today from my Secret Sister from SCS. This is my first time being in the Secret Siblings group and it' pretty fun, so far just started a few weeks ago. I like this card, very "manly"...lol. My secret big sis used this set better than I could ever attempt, not one of my favorite sets to work with, don't get me wrong I like the set, but it's not something that works with my style. Just wanted to thank my big sis for this awesome card.

As some of you may know, Kelly of Diaries of a Stamper is my wife and those many of you that read her blog must know that it is her Birthday today.

Kelly means the world to me. before her I was goofball that sat around and watched movies all day and really accomplished nothing in a day. Now because of her all my days are filled with happiness and splendor. Everything about her makes me happy and I would change nothing about her, she is my other half. We don't do anything the same yet everything we are completes the other. She is so creative in ways she doesn't even know and I have been enjoying watching what little she shows the world with her blog and on SCS. I love that she doesn't appreciate how good she is at this stamping thing and love that because of this she doesn't have a big ego about her work. Her integrity and ethics inspire me to strive for the same, and even if I don't achieve that goal I know she'll be there to be my integrity and ethics. She inspires me to create even when I think no one, including myself, cares. Sure she is rough around the edges in some aspects of who she is, but those are the traits that attracted me in the first place, but when she smiles it lights my world and warms my soul. Everyday I wake up and have a great day knowing I'm coming home to the love of my life and this is the perfect day to try and convey this to the world. Today I celebrate my wife's anniversary of birth and will everyday from now to infinity.

Again the gang from Gina K. are the stars of our story and you can see they are loving the locals in Auckland in this card.. That palm tree is one of my newest stamp creation made especially for this series of cards.

The Storm of the Century!

I Made This card again as a part of "The Chicken Who Did It" . This card is about the severe storm that kept our heroes on the island and brought forth all that is the chapter of Auckland.

This is made with one stamp that I created for this card especially. I couldn't find a stamp company that sells a wind stricken palm tree so again I had to make my own.

ADDED: The rain was made by using a Creative Memories Fine tip pen and scribbling, essentially.

SU and the Chicken...Did It To Me.

Just a post to keep my loyal readers up to date. I am having a hard time with any new creations lately. Reason number one...waiting for new SU catty to come out...can't think of anything to do with the existing stamps we have...I mean nothing. I've tried. My brain is frozen when it comes to working with stamps. So I am spending a lot of time right now creating my own stamps as you may have seen some of them a few posts down. Thanks to all of you that like them so much you've opted to BUY THEM! that just blows my mind. I'm ordering them tomorrow and will contact all of you when they arrive.The second reason I am having a hard time creating new cards is "The Chicken Who Did It" series here on my blog. I can't think outside the chicken box, again I've tried. All roads lead back to the chicken...lol. I love the "chicken" series believe me, if only you knew how much I love the chicken series. The series has taken on a life of it's own. Ask Kelly all I talk about is Chick this, chicken that...lmbo. The story is about to take off on an exciting stint...I can't wait for all you loyal chicken readers to read it. I've already written the next five installments and am scrambling to get the cards caught up to the story. And I've already laid out the groundwork for end of the story and Oh my gosh I can't wait...I may vomit I am so excited about that day coming...kinda. I just wanted to write something today because I feel I am letting down all my loyal readers...and I say loyal readers because I know that my entire readership is a loyal readership. I write today to thank you for being the best fans on the cardmaking blog "circuit". Nobody has better readers than me and I thank you for your continued support....I hope you enjoy the struggle and are looking forward to the payoff. Jason.

Crayon Resist Sky

I Made This card for todays TLC Challenge. I haven't really tried the challenges before but thought since I have been having problems thinking of anything to do I would give it a try. Todays challenge was crayon resist. I used the technique on the clouds and the sun. I like the way the clouds turned out, but my crayoning on the sun was a bit off...lol. Otherwise I like the way the card turned out, it's cute and has no chickens...lol.

Australia Baby!

I Made This Card as a part of the "Chicken Who Did It" series. This episode of the story obviously takes our heroes off to the land down under, Australia. this card I made to be the postcard card for this leg of the story. So not a lot going on in the card other than the introduction of Kate the kangaroo. Our group of characters with kate ontop of the words, simple yet it gets the point across.

Objective Accomplished!

I Made This card to accomplish two things, use my beautiful wife Kelly's flourishes from Tuscan Rose and two to use more Designer Paper. Well I accomplished my objective, and am pleased with the outcome. I used one of the flourish stamps from Tuscan Rose and stamped it four times to make a square out of it, embossed it in silver and that made the BG for the flower to rest upon, I think it really makes the flower pop. I made the flower with such a different color than the rest of the card so that it would add some vibrancy to the card.

I Made This card as a part of this weeks Featured Stamper, who just happens to be Cwilliams on SCS. I saw this name frame she made and it inspired me to make this card in the "Chicken Who Did It" series. As of right now the characters aren't in Hollywood right now they aren't even on this continent right now, but when this part of the story comes around i will link this piece of work to the story. So until then it is just a card unto itself. I thought that Candy's name frame was so cute when she made it last Halloween that when the chance came to case her I jumped on it. She's the first person i have cased. Candy has a lot of nice work in her gallery at SCS, if you haven't checked it out already you should go over and take a look now.

I also thought it was a good time to put Gina K's characters into their own swimwear for this, they are in California after all. Also took this opportunity to introduce my custom made bunny whom in the story will be name Chaz when it comes up, later in the story.

Oh My Gosh....He Did It!

I Made This card again as a part of "The Chicken Who Did It" series . This card is one of the more pivotal cards as it shows what Chuck the Chicken is being accused of. This all too important card took me a long time to come up with, because i had to factor in the overall plot, all the characters included in the story, where i wanted the Story to go, and whom I wanted everything to happen to.And Lastly I had to consider what a chicken would do to someone that would would cause such a chain reaction as everything that has happened so far in the story, and everything that will happen in the future.

Again the chicken from Gina K.is the star of our story and you can see that he is tipping over farmer Tom's outhouse , the outhouse is one of my custom stamps that I've been trying out over the past few weeks, it is actually four stamps, the main box that is the outhouse, the door, the plaque above the door, and the moon on the door. I made this stamp set to be versatile you can also change the doors window from a moon to a circle and a star. The plaque above the door can say guys or gals. The door is so you can have it open and see everything inside, or closed and just see the outside. Also, the trees are mine, I love that tree and the other two that weren't used in this card.

Lastly the most wanted card was a guest designer card, Made by my wife Kelly better know as Emmiestamps on SCS and from her blog Diaries of a Stamper

Porthole Into the Mind of a Blogger!

I Made This as a book cover to the notebook in which I brain storm the plot and card creation of "the Chicken Who Did It"series. I tried to include all the characters that have either appeared in the story so far or ones I know are going to appear in the near future. As some readers may remember some of these stamps are my own creations (the horse,bunny,chicks,and the outhouse). Others include The stars of our story Chicken, cow, sheep, and sheep from Gina K Designs ; and the mummy and kangaroo from SU; the chicken alphabet is by Victorine Originals; and who did it is using Karen Fosters snap-it alphabet. For the backdrop I used every Studio G sentiment stamp that applied to the story, as you can see we have a lot of Studio G sets, and I love them all. I like how this turned out as i loved the "Three Amigos" card a few posts back, but that's my style and I understand if others don't like it. On another note, look forward to the outhouse's inclusion in the story coming soon, it's a huge part of the story and you won't want to miss it....

I Made This card again as a part of "The Chicken Who Did It" . This card is more of a funny thing that happened to them while checking out the pyramids one of the local inhabitants took offense to them being there...lmbo.

Again the gang from Gina K. are the stars of our story and you can see they are not loving the locals in Egypt in this card....can you say "RUN!"

Another Layout Card

This card was an inspiration card, I got the idea from a Telus commercial, don't know how many of you are within an area where you would see a Telus commercial. But it was the one with all the animals love each other and hugging and they started off with grey masked lovebirds and i just love them, but then the color combo grabbed my attention. And low and behold the use of Sahara Sand and Cool Caribbean. I also wanted to work in another of my own stamps, the "RAK inside" stamp, didn't know where I was going to get to use this stamp, but this seemed like as good a time as any. I don't love the card, but it's something new for me.

The oval punch used was actually used on the Cool Caribbean Card stock and not the Sahara sand, it just looks like it is on the Sahara Sand

Custom Stamps Used

People have asked me if I designed these stamps for me to market them. I can honestly say I didn't really plan on it, I needed them to make cards I couldn't make with the existing stamps we had. As you know I end up using all the SU stamps in a different than intended manner and am having a hard time using them because I have "worn" them out in my head. Can't wait for the new catty....kwim. But as for me selling my stamps i don't actually know right now, i still have quite a few to try out in the next few weeks, so i guess after seeing them all, you could tell me...lol. They are made out of a clear polymer resin, like Studio G stamps and Gel-a-tins. I just love them, I probably won't be using much other than my new stamps for a while, but maybe I'll take a break here and there, don't wanna bore myself with my own works...lol.

These are the custom stamps I had made for this card, well not specifically for this card, but you know what I mean. I love the horse stamp,because I made it so you can position the head anyway you want because it is a separate stamp. The grass was a last minute design because I had room on the sheet when preparing the designs for the printer. The trees branches showed up so well in the card behind the watercolor minis, it looks so neat. The fence was the first stamp out of all the stamps I had made that was designed. I drew it for the Chickhood Card and I knew I would need it again, so I got it made up, because it will get used alot. And one of the many sentiments we had made "Honkey Freakin' Dinah" was made for cards like this for when you need to add that "country bumpkin" feel to the card which I think it did so lovely.

I Made This card again as a part of "The Chicken Who Did It" . I needed a card to show where and who gave them the idea to go off on their worldly adventure and my new stamps gave me that who and where.

Again Gina K. Chicken being the star of our story is used and watercolor minis is used to put leaves on the trees, but other than that all of the stamps used in this card were designed by me. I just love "Buck" the horse he is so cute, loved drawing him for the stamp set and was so excited when the stamps came on friday before we left. The fence was also a stamp I designed to compliment "Buck" and be versatile for other projects. The trees weren't as lovely as "Lovely as a tree" but I felt I needed other trees to use instead of them. Even the grass was fun to design.

Sorry I haven't posted much lately, been working a lot and getting ready for our church's family camp this weekend (actually that picture of me is from family camp last year...funny), won't be back till Sunday, but all day Sunday I'll be gleefully using my new stamps (grin!). I had designed some polymer stamps and had them custom made and they already showed up today. I am so excited and they look great, can't wait to use them all, don't even know where I am going to start. I get home and Kelly shows me the package and I was like , "we have no time to use them" because we are leaving at 6 and I get home at 4. This is the first delivery that is for me....now I know how all you ladies feel when you are waiting for something to get here...lol...I will never judge again...not that I have...lmbo. I'll definitely be posting something Sunday evening with my new stamps...hope to see you then.

I Got Tagged Again

Kathy Tagged me so here is my seven things about me

1. I didn't know I had a different father than my brothers and sisters until I was 27 on my wedding day.lol talk about a shocker.

2. When I was a toddler I got viciously attacked by a rooster and needed a lot of stitches in my face to repair the damage, but to this day I fear no Rooster...lol

3.It's been said that i like the sound of my own voice, due to the fact that I talk and type more than I need to...gotta say, probably true.

4. I am creeped out and terrified of most bugs. Just ask Kelly, she'll probably tell you a lot of funny tales.

5. when I was a child I was allergic to everything and had to eat and drink a lot of weird foods to supplement my diet. but now today and for more than half my life I am allergic of nothing.

6. I aim to write one day.

7. When Kelly and I started living together, Stephanie who was five at the time referred to me as "Boy" because her father did. I am eight years younger than him...lol

Three Amigos!

I Made This card again as a part of "The Chicken Who Did It" . I needed a card as a show of solidarity between all three of them as they joined together to take care of each other as they left the safety of their homes for their adventures.

Again Gina K. stamps just make this card hilarious. I also added in a lot of Studio G stamps for the background. The overall theme of the card was inspired by the "No Doubt" music video for their song "Hey Baby" the black and white background with writing highlighted by the red writing. Just an idea I had, that video was really eye catching when it first came out.

I Made This card to get away from my normal cards of late. As I have stated in past posts I am trying to implement more BG stamps into my stamping and this card is no different. I tried to make a bright card but not to bright. I can't seem to stop using these clear stamps from Michaels,I love them, they are really simple, but I can't stop using them. I don't think I have even modified any of them yet, which I tend to do a lot.

I Have Been Tagged!

Today was a busy day kinda...I got tagged twice. I got tagged by My Wife Kelly and by Dawn Mercedes Love the new hairdo!

Picking my favorite five blogs is going to be hard but here I go anyways...

Obviously I love my wifes blog Diaries Of A Stamper I love everything she does, even the cards she doesn't, she is so critical of her work, but I think everything she does is inspiring to me even though we have such different styles.

Another great blog is Gina K's Blog. I love all her work and as you can tell my style is greatly influenced by her style. She created the stamps that I, at least right now, am using so much. I am in a no SU funk right now, and if it weren't for her designs I owuldn't be making anything right now. I just love how she lays down cards, I aim to learn a lot from her and her blog.

My first favorite blog other than my wifes that is, was AmyR's blog. I know she is a favorite of a lot of people , but her style has also started me on my way to where ever I am going with this. She's where I got my first "cute" idea from. I can't think of any specific card she has made that I drew inspiration from , but here layouts influence a lot of what I do.

A newer one to my list would be Inkspirations by Rachel I love how much she uses flowers, because when I am not doing something cute or funny, I'm using a flower of some kind. i don't know what it is about flowers I like doing, I mean come on it aint the manliest of things to be into...lol. But I love Rachels use of flowers in her cards.

Another new blog I visit that is becoming a favorite is Mary's Shack-a-Lackin. Just aside the fact that i like to say Shack-a-Lackin, I like how diverse her collection is. i you go there right now there is a lot of different layouts and themes, an attribute I am lacking these days in my work. I love her use of color and different techniques. I look forward to her work in the future, she's a good one to watch.
